Irregular Verbs are those verbs that change totally while
changing forms between tenses. The changed forms of these verbs are usually
entirely different from the root words. Regular verbs have an -ed ending added to the root verb for
both the simple past and past participle. Irregular verbs do not follow this
pattern. Unfortunately, there is no way to determine what form an
irregular verb is going to take in a changed tense. Therefore, the only option
for a learner is to memorize the changes. They will gradually become a habit
with constant usage.
